Medical interpreters and coordinators who help patients to undergo medical examinations at ease in Japan
When patients from overseas receive medical care in Japan, they naturally feel uneasy not only because of the therapy itself, but also because of differences in language and culture. We cooperate with medical interpreters and coordinators so that patients from overseas can receive medical care at ease, as if they were in a medical institution in their own country. We are now making referrals to organizations such as medical coordinators (please contact to Registered Guarantors list) which have an extensive track record in matching many patients with medical institutions, and in supporting these patients during their stay in Japan.
Examples of services
1. Medical institution matching
We introduce specialized medical institutions on the basis of a patient's medical data and requests.
2. Medical visa support
Patients and others from overseas who visit Japan to undergo treatment and the like in Japan, and the people who accompany them, need to obtain a visa for medical stay. The organizations such as medical coordinators act as registered guarantors for the visa for medical stay, and help patients to obtain the visa for medical stay including a reference from a guarantor. For details on the visa for medical stay, please see the relevant pages on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

3. Dispatch of medical interpreters, and attendance services
There are staff members with a wealth of experience with fluent in Chinese, Russian, English, and other languages in medical coordinators. They provide medical interpretation and other services in hospitals.
4. Arrangements from arrival in Japan to the return home
We make various arrangements such as preparing a schedule according to a patient's needs so that patients and their companions can arrive in Japan and stay without anxiety.
We help patients and their companions to prepare for their arrival in Japan and, if necessary, we support their daily living activities during their stay (optional arrangement).
5. Inquiries accepted at a 24-hour call center
If any difficulties or questions arise during the stay, our 24-hour call center can be contacted in English, Chinese, and Russian.

Acting as an agent for pre-testing, treatment planning, and various arrangements such as visa applications
First, we confirm the patient's symptoms (disease history, diagnosis results, current therapy, etc.) and wishes.
Next, we investigate expenses for travel to Japan and fees for pre-testing (we charge an investigation fee including expenses for translation of medical information, and commissions to contracted medical workers). Medical Excellence JAPAN recommends an appropriate medical institution to the patient, presenting its acceptance conditions. Once the patient agrees to our recommendation, we provide support by coordinating the patient's schedule, including the treatment plan, with arrival in Japan and consultations, and we make various arrangements such as visa applications, purchase of airline tickets, and hotel reservations.
Attendance services and other interpreter services during scans and treatment
While staying in Japan, the patient and the people accompanying the patient can receive attendance services from an interpreter during scans and treatments, and make use of a 24-hour multilingual hot line.
As required, we arrange a means of transportation from the airport, and arrange a welcome and send-off at the airport involving the interpreter and medical workers.
Transmission of detailed information on scans and treatments to a local medical institution taking over the patient's medical care
We transmit results and detailed data from scans and treatments conducted in Japan to a medical institution in the patient's own country. If desired, Japanese medical institutions provide support for the follow-up confirmation and examination.
